Schedule
This is the current state of the schedule for the AMS session and for the Friday mini-conference.
Mini-Conference Registration Form
We are trying to provide transportationfrom State College to Altoona on Friday, as well as lunch, dinner, nametages, etc. As a consequence, we would appreciate it if anyone planning to attend anything on Friday would fill out the short online mini-conference registration form. There will be no registration fee for Friday.
Friday Locations
Lunch on Friday is scheduled for noon in the Port-Sky Special Events room. If you ask someone to point you to the cafeteria, I will post signs at the entrances to get to this small separate room off of the dining room closest to the food counters. The lectures will be held in room 202 LRC (Learning Resources Center). If you walk along the reflecting pond, and enter the library from that side, make a very hard left to get into this computer lab. If you arrive before noon, look in 202 LRC or Mark's office 113 Hawthorn, which is straight down the hill from the library entrance near the reflecting pond, and once inside make a left to go down the office hallway.

A campus map (including GPS coordinates) is available here, and more information about the college is available there, including driving directions. On this campus map, 15 is the cafeteria building, 9 is the LRC, and 10 is the Hawthorn Building. Please try to park in the large student lot next to Hawthorn, labeled F on the map.

Informal Dinners
We are planning to put together informal group dinners for Friday and Saturday evenings, more or less immediately following the afternoon sessions. Friday talks will be held on the campus of Penn State Altoona, and the dinner will be at Mark Johnson's home (about an hour drive from State College, where most people will be staying). Lunch may also be provided for everyone on Friday, pending final details, so let Mark know if you plan to attend. Saturday talks will be held on the main campus of Penn State, and dinner will be at a restaurant (Golden Wok, (814) 234-102) about a half mile walk from the conference. On Saturday we have no plans to make specific menu selections, provide transportation, or get involved with handling money.
