Completion and Twisted Equivariant K-theory.

Abstract: The Atiyah-Segal completion theorem is a very important result in equivariant K-theory. I will discuss how to extend the theorem to twisted equivariant K-theory and some of the problems which arise. Also, time permitting, I will talk about the case of general discrete groups.

We meet weekly on Thursday afternoons, with the third meeting of each month in Altoona. If you are interested in giving a talk in our seminar please contact one of the coordinators for the Spring 2006 semester: Aissa Wade and Wojciech Dorabiala.
