On Classes of Spaces (Weakly) Built out of A
Abstract: Given a fixed space A, one can consider the collection of spaces built out of A using the same operations one uses to build CW complexes out of spheres. In this talk, we will discuss the theory of these so-called A-cellular spaces, paying most attention to classes of spaces which have an extra closure property. There is a beautiful characterization of spaces A for which the A-cellular spaces have this extra closure property. Furthermore, there is an obstruction related to this extra closure property which we will discuss.
