Abstract:
The most natural structure on the K-theory of a space is that of a
lambda-ring as defined by Grothendieck. I will talk about some results
about the following lambda-ring questions.
(1) The algebraic question: Classify the moduli of lambda-ring structure
over power series rings and their quotients.
(2) The topological question: Which ones of these lambda-rings are
topologically realizable (i.e. isomorphic to the K-theory of a space)?
