Semigroups and applications to
nonlinear Partial Differential Equations
Abstract:
I will discuss how certain nonlinear parabolic equations can be
solved by using semigroups and simple fixed-point arguments, especially
when the initial data is irregular. As an example, I will consider
semilinear heat equations and the Navier-Stokes equations describing
incompressible, viscous fluids.
