Prasanta Basak has a Master of Statistics (1979) from Indian Statistical Institute, Calcutta, India, Master of Mathematics (1986) and Ph.D. in Statistics (1986) from University of Pittsburgh. He is currently an Associate Professor of Mathematics and Statistics. His research interests are in the area of Record Values/Order Statistics, Finite Mixture Models, and Paired Comparison Methods. He has published several papers related to the above topics.
