Jarrod Pickens is a doctoral candidate at University of California, Santa Barbara. He is currently Assistant Professor of Mathematics at Penn State Altoona. His dissertation is titled, "Ricci Flow on Manifolds with Circle Action." His reasearch interests are in geometric flows on manifolds or orbifolds with boundary and applications to Physics (in particular string theory).
