Juan Gil completed his Ph.D. in mathematics in 1998 at the University of Potsdam, Germany. Before coming to Penn State Altoona he was an Assistant Professor at Temple University from 1999 till 2003. His area of expertise is analysis and partial differential equations on singular manifolds. In particular, he is interested in pseudodifferential methods and spectral theory.
