Requirements for the Mathematics Applications Minor
Take All of the Following:

- Math 140......4 Credits
- Math 141......4 Credits
Select 6-8 Credits from the Following:

- Math 220......2 Credits
- Math 230......4 Credits
- Math 231......2 Credits
- Math 232......2 Credits
- Math 250......3 Credits
- Math 251......4 Credits
- Math 310......3 Credits
- Math 311W....3 Credits
- Math 312......3 Credits
Select 6 Credits From 400-Level Math Courses

- Select 6 credits from 400-level Mathematics Applications courses*
Grade requirements for the minor shall conform to the requirements
for the major. Students must receive a grade of 'C' or higher in the
400-level courses.

- *Mathematics Appplications Courses: Through consultation with the coordinator of the minor, courses from areas that directly incorporate or support the use of mathematics will be selected. Typlical areas include computer science, engineering, physics, and statistics.

- Acceptable mathematics applications courses include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Any 400-level MATH course
- Any 400-level STAT course
- ASTRO 440
- CHEM 408, 451-463
- CSE 451-457,460-468,477,485,486
- E E 411-414,418-461,485-492
- EMET 430, 440
- M E 403-476
- NUC E 401-490
- PHYS 400-443, 461
You can print out an Application for Entrance to Minor below. Fill it out,
have your advisor sign it and return the completed form to Dr. Hurtubise in 116 Hawthorn.
